“This Summer’s Gonna Hurt” received approximately 4,216 pop radio spins during the May 17-23 tracking week. That earns it the #22 position on Mediabase’s official pop radio airplay chart.
Last week, “Summer” leveraged only two weeks of airplay — albeit one that included hourly airplay support from iHeartMedia’s pop stations — to debut at #35 on the official pop chart.
“This Summer’s Gonna Hurt” represents Maroon 5’s chance at a third straight pop radio #1. Previous singles “Sugar” and “Animals” both reached the format’s apex.
