Natalie La Rose’s “Somebody” Goes Top 40 at Pop Radio

In Ellie Goulding’s “Love Me Like You Do,” Maroon 5’s “Sugar” and Kelly Clarkson’s “Heartbeat Song,” Mediabase’s official pop radio airplay chart welcomed several high-profile additions to its top 40 this week.

It also featured the first top 40 appearance by newcomer Natalie La Rose, whose “Somebody (featuring Jeremih)” makes the necessary climb this week.

La Rose’s song, which Headline Planet first spotlighted following its entry into the top 50, climbs three places to the #40 slot this week. It received 834 spins during the January 11-17 tracking week.

Supported in high-profile markets, the song ranks even more impressively from an audience standpoint. Its weekly impressive count of 6.39 million was the week’s 33rd-largest.

Particularly impressive about the song’s top 40 positioning is the fact that it comes weeks before the song’s official 2/10 radio impact date.
