Nickelback, The Pretty Reckless Reach Top 30 at Rock Radio

Two standouts on recent active rock radio add reports are surging up the format’s airplay chart.

Making the loudest noise this week is Nickelback’s “Million Miles an Hour.” Thanks to the active rock format’s largest week-over-week spin gain (+204), “Miles” rises nineteen places to #26 on Mediabase’s official active rock airplay chart. The song, which is the follow-up to the band’s #1 hit “Edge of a Revolution,” commanded a total of 373 spins during the November 23-29 tracking week.

The Pretty Reckless’ “Follow Me Down,” which is the week’s fourth-greatest gainer, also makes a big jump at rock this week. After landing in the top forty last week, the song hops an additional five places to reach #29 on this week’s chart. It received 336 spins during the aforementioned tracking period.

— New to the active rock Top 40 this week is Linkin Park’s “Final Masquerade.” The song flies up twenty three places–to #39–with a weekly spin total of 200. Its week-over-week spin gain of 149 was the active rock format’s second-greatest.

— Papa Roach’s “Face Everything and Rise,” which enjoyed the week’s third-greatest spin gain (+129), rises five places to a new peak of #11 this week. Its spin total clocked in at 835 between November 23 and 29.

— Seether’s “Same Damn Life” is the format’s fifth-greatest gainer. Up 99 spins this week, its count of 1,577 was enough to slot the song at #4 on the airplay chart.
