The Voice’s Matt McAndrew Debuts on Hot 100 with “Take Me to Church”

NBC’s “The Voice” has produced its first Hot 100 hit of the season.

The achievement comes via Team Adam contestant Matt McAndrew, whose “Take Me to Church” debuts at #92 on the latest edition of Billboard’s Hot 100.

Last week’s best-selling “Voice” performance, McAndrew’s take on the Hozier hit earned the contestant a vote multiplier bonus by reaching the top ten of the all-genre iTunes single sales chart. It is still within the top 100 (at #95).

Hozier’s version, meanwhile, reaches a new peak of #3 on the chart. Only Taylor Swift’s “Blank Space” and Meghan Trainor’s “All About That Bass” are positioned higher.
