Ella Henderson to Perform on NBC’s “TODAY” Show

Update 2: Ella Henderson still does not appear in NBC’s press listing for the 10/29 “TODAY” show, but she personally reiterated that she will perform on that episode in a Tweet this week.  Her appearance thus looks to be a done deal.

Update: While news of Ella Henderson’s “TODAY” show appearance was officially announced by her label, she does not yet appear in NBC’s official listings for the show.

Released Friday, the listing for the October 29 confirms Nicole Kidman, Diane von Furstenberg , Kyra Sedgwick and Tom Mison, Brandon Stanton, Soleil Moon Frye and Chuck Hughes. A “TBD” guest is also listed, however, so there remains a chance Henderson is indeed appearing.

NBC has yet to formally comment on the potential performance.

If Iggy Azalea can do it, why can’t Ella Henderson?

While NBC’s confirmation of “TODAY” show guests has only gone as far as the October 24 episode, Columbia, on behalf of Ella Henderson, is reporting that the British singer-songwriter will appear on the October 29 edition of NBC’s morning show.

Earlier this week, Azalea beat NBC to the punch in announcing her “SNL” appearance.

News of the appearance comes in the label’s radio promotion newsletter, which touts that her attempted international crossover “Ghost” is currently #44 at pop (it is actually already #41) and #35 at adult pop/Hot AC (it is actually already #34).

News that Henderson is still working to push “Ghost” in America comes amid the release of her debut album “Chapter One” in the Ireland and UK markets.
