Update: Ariana Grande’s “Problem” Hits #1 After Release, RDMAs

Update: As expected, Ariana Grande’s “Problem (featuring Iggy Azalea)” surged to number one on iTunes’ overall single sales chart immediately following the release of its audio.

The recipient of a strong promotional campaign that included a live performance at this weekend’s Radio Disney Music Awards, “Problem” had advanced deeply into the iTunes top ten prior to the official release.

Set to impact Top 40 radio this week, the Grande track is being promoted with the hashtag “#SongsofSummer2014.”

==========
It might not be ready for download, but Ariana Grande’s new single is experiencing no “Problem” scoring purchases from music fans.

The single, which Grande debuted at the weekend’s Radio Disney Music Awards, is currently #8 on the Overall iTunes Single Sales chart.

Currently available as a pre-order, the track will not be cleared for download until Monday. When that happens, it will very likely catapult to #2 or even #1 on the iTunes chart.

Featuring a guest appearance from the buzzworthy Iggy Azalea, “Problem” goes for adds at Top 40 radio this week.
