St. Vincent to Perform on “Saturday Night Live” Season Finale

“Saturday Night Live,” the platform that gave alt-pop trio HAIM its largest exposure and officially put Sam Smith on the map, is giving another potential breakthrough the chance to shine.

NBC announced Wednesday that critically acclaimed act St. Vincent will serve as the musical guest of its season finale. Former cast member and current “Brooklyn Nine Nine” star Andy Samberg will host the episode, which airs on May 17.

The march to the season finale begins on May 3, when Andrew Garfield makes his debut as “SNL” host. Coldplay will serve as the musical guest.

Charlize Theron and The Black Keys then respectively serve as host and musical guest of the May 10 edition.
