FOX’s “Cosmos” Delivers Modest Ratings for Premiere

Because it aired on multiple networks, a complete assessment of the “Cosmos” premiere is not yet available.

An assessment of the FOX broadcast absolutely is. And the verdict is that the show performed modestly.

A distant third behind the premiere of ABC’s “Resurrection” and the latest edition of AMC’s “The Walking Dead,” FOX’s “Cosmos” broadcast posted a 2.1 adults 18-49 rating with 5.79 million viewers.

After opening to a 2.2 with 5.87 million at 9PM, it slipped to a 2.0 with 5.71 million at 9:30PM.

Earlier in the night, FOX’s “Bob’s Burgers” posted a weak 0.9 rating with 2.12 million. “The Simpsons” followed with a 1.2 and 2.65 million at 7:30PM and a 1.6 with 3.72 million at 8PM. A relocated “Family Guy” scored a 2.2 with 4.49 million at 8:30PM.
