Series High “The Originals” Ratings Fuel Best CW Tuesday in 5 Years

Last week, the winning combination of “The Originals” and “Supernatural” led The CW to its best Tuesday viewership numbers in four years.

This week, the shows united to post the network’s best Tuesday mark in five years.

Up from last week’s 2.39 million viewer mark, the Tuesday tandem attracted an average of 2.45 million viewers for this week’s fall finale episodes. Not since November 14, 2008 (2.50 million viewers), has the network performed better on a Tuesday.

And both shows deserve credit for the success.

8PM entry “The Originals” matched its series high 1.1 adults 18-49 rating and achieved a new high viewership mark of 2.44 million. At 9PM, “Supernatural” matched its season highs in A18-34 (1.1/4), A18-49 (1.1/3), and W18-34 (1.4/4). It drew 2.45 million viewers.
