UFC Confirms Ronda Rousey, Tate – Zingano Winner as Next “Ultimate Fighter” Coaches
By Brian Cantor on March 16, 2013
UFC President Dana White confirmed that women will take the helm of “The Ultimate Fighter” for the first time in its near-decade of existence.
White announced Saturday that UFC Women’s Bantamweight Champion Ronda Rousey will coach opposite the winner of the upcoming bout between Miesha Tate and Cat Zingano. That fight, the second female fight in UFC history, takes place on April 13, 2013 at the “Ultimate Finale” between Team Jon Jones and Team Chael Sonnen.
According to White, competitors on the show will include men and women in their respective 135-pound divisions.
