Report: WWE Reaches New Deal with Brock Lesnar

It has been months since Brock Lesnar had a visible presence on WWE television, but make no mistake–the former UFC Champion is indeed still with the company.

In fact, he will be with WWE for longer than was originally planned.

Lesnar, whose one-year deal with WWE was to culminate at WrestleMania (in a program believed to be with Triple H), recently signed a two-year extension, reports PWInsider.com. That would keep “The Next Big Thing” locked up until WrestleMania 31.

Specifics on the contract are unclear, but Lesnar will not be working a full-time road schedule.

Although the wrestler-turned-football player-turned UFC fighter has not greatly impacted television ratings in his current run, he did provide a nice buyrate boost to the Extreme Rules and Summerslam pay-per-views. After the numbers for the latter show came in, it was considered a foregone conclusion that WWE would try to secure an extended contract.
