“BUCKWILD” Ratings Stay Strong, “Anger Management” Falls Again

By now, it is abundantly clear that MTV’s “BUCKWILD” will not impact popular culture the way “Jersey Shore” did three years ago, but it is becoming equally clear that the show does have an audience.

A drop in week two sounded some alarms, but the West Virginia-based reality series bounced back impressively in its third week. And it stayed solid in week four.

“BUCKWILD” again reigned as the top cable original Thursday, delivering a 1.4 adults 18-49 rating across its two telecasts. The 10PM episode delivered a 1.3 rating and 2.6 million viewers, while its follow-up was good for a 1.4 and 2.7 million.

This week’s viewership average actually tops that attained by the premiere episode.

— FX, meanwhile, had a mixed bag of a Thursday night. Charlie Sheen-starrer “Anger Management” dipped to a very disappointing 0.6 rating with 1.3 million viewers.

“Archer,” however, responded with another solid demo performance, delivering a 1.1 rating and 1.6 million viewers. “Legit” followed with a 0.4 and 626,000 pairs of eyeballs.
