Chael Sonnen Moves To Light Heavyweight for Fight with Forrest Griffin

Unable to dethrone Anderson Silva in two cracks at the Middleweight Championship, UFC’s top talker Chael Sonnen has decided to pack on some pounds for a run at Light Heavyweight.

Sonnen announced Tuesday he agreed to a match with former Light Heavyweight Champion Forrest Griffin at the annual end-of-year show on 12/29.

That UFC event is to be headlined by Junior dos Santos vs. Cain Velasquez for the Heavyweight Championship. With these two fights headlining, that card, assuming it does not get ruined by injury, should do one of the better buyrates this year.
