“Glee” Ratings Hold Steady, “Raising Hope” Okay, “Running Wilde” Down

“Glee” might be far removed from the numbers it posted for the second season’s first two episodes, but it still remains a dominant force among adults 18-49. Tuesday’s “Duets” episode garnered a 4.6 demo rating with 11.12 million viewers.

As has been the repeated case this season, while “Glee” had no trouble claiming the nightly victory in the demo, FOX’s lead-out comedies were less successful. “Raising Hope” turned away a solid portion of the “Glee” audience but still performed acceptably with a 2.6 rating and 6.35 million viewers. It should be noted that at least one minute of “Glee” led into “Hope,” so it is possible “Glee” will be adjusted slightly upwards while “Hope” will be corrected down for the finals.

“Running Wilde,” however, continues to make cancellation seem appropriate. The show dipped to a mere 1.5 with 3.54 million viewers. The Will Arnett/Mitch Hurwitz attachment and the lack of a clear answer to the 9:30PM problem seem to be the only things keeping this show afloat, but with ratings this low, FOX’s tolerance is likely running thin.
