“The Big Bang Theory” Star Jim Parsons to Host “Saturday Night Live”

The man whose show routinely destroys NBC’s own Thursday comedies will be used to bolster its Saturday night fixture.

The Peacock confirmed Thursday that “The Big Bang Theory” star Jim Parsons will assume hosting duties when “Saturday Night Live” returns from hiatus on March 1.

Beck, who will be fresh off the release of new album “Morning Phase,” will provide music for the evening.

Serving as the first “SNL” since February 1, the March 1 edition will also feature Colin Jost’s debut as the new “Weekend Update” co-anchor. Jost replaces Seth Meyers, who begins hosting NBC’s “Late Night” on February 24.
