Emmy Nominations Revealed; “Game Of Thrones,” “ACS: Versace,” “USS Callister,” “Atlanta,” Lead Their Categories

Thursday morning brought the complete list of nominations for this year’s Primetime Emmy Awards.

The list encompassed a wide array of shows, movies and shorts, covering broadcast, basic cable, premium cable and web-based programming.

Some shows, however, received far more nominations than others.

“Game Of Thrones” ranks as this year’s most-nominated drama (and overall program). It received 22 nods.

With 16 nominations, “Atlanta” ranks as the most-nominated comedy. “Last Week Tonight With John Oliver” (9 nominations) earns first place among variety series, while “RuPaul’s Drag Race” and “The Voice” tie for first in the nonfiction/reality category (10 nominations).

Recognized 18 times, “The Assassination Of Gianni Versace: American Crime Story” ranks as the most-nominated miniseries/limited series. The “USS Callister” edition of “Black Mirror” tops the TV Movie race with 7 nominations.

This year’s Emmy Awards ceremony airs on September 19.
