Bringing the projection to fruition, Shawn Mendes & Camila Cabello’s “Señorita” officially enters the Top 10 on this week’s Mediabase pop radio airplay chart.
It is not, however, the only song to enter that region. Katy Perry’s “Never Really Over” also moves into the Top 10.
Played ~10,932 times during the July 21-27 tracking period, “Señorita” jumps three places to #8. This week’s spin count tops last week’s mark by a mammoth 1,958 spins. The increase represents this week’s greatest pop radio airplay gain.
“Never Really Over” concurrently rises two places to #10. It received ~9,265 spins this week, besting last week’s mark by 516.
“Never Really Over” also holds a Top 10 position at hot adult contemporary radio. “Señorita” rises to #12 on this week’s Hot AC chart; it is also gaining steam at the rhythmic format.
