Sunday’s “Big Little Lies” did not return to the ratings level achieved by last season’s finale, but it did outperform last week’s second season premiere.

According to live+same-day TV data posted by Showbuzz, Sunday’s “Big Little Lies” drew a 0.45 adults 18-49 rating and averaged 1.47 million overall viewers. The numbers top the 0.39 rating and 1.42 million viewer mark garnered by last week’s opener.

“Big Little Lies” led into the debut of HBO’s “Euphoria,” which posted a 0.17 adults 18-49 rating and 0.58 million viewer mark. Those same-night TV numbers are soft, but reports indicate “Euphoria” received a sizable spike from HBO NOW and HBO GO streaming.

Such non-traditional viewership will also expand the “Big Little Lies” reach.
