Urban and rhythmic radio programmers continue to confirm their enthusiastic support for Cardi B.

The artist’s “Ring (featuring Kehlani)” will move into the Top 5 on the Mediabase urban and rhythmic airplay charts this week. Her newly released “Money,” meanwhile, is attracting early airplay at both formats.

“Ring” received 4,300 urban spins during the first six days of the October 21-27 tracking period. Up 9% from the count at this point last week, the tally slots “Ring” at #3 on Mediabase’s building urban chart. As it faces no threat from below, “Ring” should have no trouble retaining its position through the close of tracking.

“Ring” meanwhile received 3,834 rhythmic spins within the aforementioned six-day window (+13% from last week). It should be able to retain its position through the end of the week — and it even has a slight chance of moving up to #3.

— As “Ring” reaches new peaks at both formats, “Money” is starting to make some moves.

The new track received 592 urban spins during the first six days of the tracking period, which yields a #44 position on the building chart. According to Mediabase, its greatest support is coming from Cleveland’s Z107.9 (34 spins), Dallas’ K104 (32 spins), and DC’s 93.9 (28 spins).

“Money” is not yet in the Top 50 at rhythmic, but it is receiving airplay at the format. Top early supporters include Los Angeles’ Power 106 (28 spins), SiriusXM’s The Heat (25 spins), San Antonio’s 98.5 The Beat (20 spins), and Denver’s KS 107.5 (20 spins).
