After spending several days in the runner-up position, Avril Lavigne’s “Head Above Water” has risen to #1 on the US iTunes sales chart.
“Head Above Water” rose to #1 at about 2:15AM ET Thursday morning. It seized the throne from Eminem’s “Killshot,” which had ruled since launching on the iTunes store.
“Head Above Water” had been steadily gaining on “Killshot” over the past few days. A performance on Wednesday’s “Jimmy Kimmel Live” increased its momentum.
“Killshot” currently sits at #2 on the chart, while Marshmello & Bastille’s “Happier” is #3. Imagine Dragons’ “Natural” (#4) and Lauren Daigle’s “You Say” (#5) complete the Top 5.
