Featuring the artist’s strongest vocal performance on record, the audio for Daya’s new single “Safe” premiered on June 22.
The music video launched on July 18.
Along with the music video, Daya commenced her new “#safeis” campaign, “encouraging fans to express what their version of “safe” is with a video, gif, or message on social media using the campaign’s hashtag.”
Daya co-wrote “Safe” with Laleh and Joel Little in the aftermath of the Route 91 Harvest Festival shooting in Las Vegas. It channels their grief, while also reflecting on a time in which the world seemed more innocent and “safe.”
