Last week’s “The Voice” comfortably beat “American Idol” in adults 18-49 and overall viewership.

This week’s episode won by a slightly larger margin in adults 18-49.

According to fast national data shared by NBC, Monday’s “The Voice” drew a 2.3 adults 18-49 rating and averaged 10.7 million overall viewers.

This week’s “Idol” posted a 1.6 in the adults 18-49 demo and 7.7 million in viewership.

Last week’s “The Voice” (2.4, 11.9 million) beat “Idol” (1.8, 8.4 million) by 0.6 in the demo.

“Idol” did, however, slightly close the gap in overall viewership (3.0 million difference vs. 3.5 million).

— While ABC lost the 8-10PM music competition battle, it scored a clear victory in the 10PM drama race. ABC’s “The Good Doctor” drew a 1.6 rating and 9.1 million viewers; NBC’s “Good Girls” scored a 1.0 and 4.3 million.

NBC, however, can boast that its drama closed the gap in both columns. “The Good Doctor” won even more dominantly last week (1.8 vs. 1.0 in adults 18-49, 9.9 million vs. 4.5 million in viewers).
