The Steve Aoki remix of BTS’ “MIC Drop (featuring Desiigner)” has received some pop radio support in the days following its release.
Working in collaboration with the RED Music team, label Big Hit Entertainment is aiming to secure considerably more support in the near future.
“MIC Drop” is set to officially impact US pop radio in conjunction with the December 5 add board.
AllAccess first reported the impact date.
While BTS songs (notably “DNA”) have received some US airplay in the past, “MIC Drop” will be the first to formally go for adds.
The “MIC Drop” remix hit #1 on the US iTunes sales chart shortly after its release this past Friday. It still holds a Top 10 position on the chart.
