Detailed demographic data is not yet available for the season seven “Game Of Thrones” finale.

What is available, however, is confirmation of what many surely anticipated: the episode set a series high in live+same-day viewership.

According to HBO, Sunday’s episode averaged 12.1 million overall viewers. The number tops the 10.24 million mark drawn by last week’s episode and the 10.72 million figure posted by the August 13 broadcast, which ranked as the standing series high.

With same-day streams from HBO Go and HBO Now included, the viewership number swells to 16.5 million.

As impressive as the live+same-day figures are, “Game Of Thrones” also posts massive gains from DVR, post-premiere streaming and encores. According to HBO, seventh season episodes have been averaging a monstrous 30.6 million viewers across all platforms.
