Ratings: HBO’s “Game Of Thrones” Endures Slight Loss, Remains Dominant

Sunday’s “Game Of Thrones” did not set a new high – but did blow away the competition. It was the second-most-watched episode ever.

After delivering series high numbers last week, “Game Of Thrones” endured slight losses in adults 18-49 and overall viewership this week.

It still delivered one of the show’s best performances on record.

It still convincingly won the night in both columns. It was downright dominant in the adults 18-49 demographic.

According to live+same-day data posted by Showbuzz, Sunday’s “Game Of Thrones” drew a 4.71 adults 18-49 rating and averaged 10.24 million overall viewers.

The numbers trail the 4.98 adults 18-49 rating and 10.72 million drawn by last week’s episode, but they do not trail those of any other broadcast.

The adults 18-49 rating ties that of the season premiere for second place in series history. The viewership figure outright ranks as the #2 tally to date.

“Game Of Thrones” concludes its seventh season this coming Sunday. Many are expecting series high numbers.

— “Game Of Thrones” led into “Ballers,” which drew a 1.08 and 2.36 million (down from last week’s 1.21/2.84 million).

HBO’s Sunday lineup also included “Insecure” (0.66/1.32 million vs. 0.66/1.30 million last week) and “Last Week Tonight” (0.67/1.76 million vs. 0.82/1.93 million last week).
