Update: Metallica took the stage on Monday’s “Late Show With Stephen Colbert.”

The iconic metal band performed current radio single “Now That We’re Dead” on the broadcast. The performance marked Metallica’s first appearance on the Colbert-hosted “Late Show.”

Metallica has performed on NBC’s “The Tonight Show” and ABC’s “Jimmy Kimmel Live” as part of its “Hardwired … To Self-Destruct” album era.

Monday, the band plays the other major 11:35PM talk show: CBS’ “The Late Show With Stephen Colbert.”

Metallica’s performance concludes an episode that also features appearances by Jane Krakowski and Danny McBride.
