Prior to this weekend’s Super Bowl performance, Lady Gaga’s “Million Reasons” had peaked at #52 on the Billboard Hot 100.
Following the high-profile showcase, it appears bound for a Top 10 position.
In a Friday afternoon article, Billboard teases the song’s potential entry into the Top 10. As the publication tends to be very conservative with its predictions and projections, the post reflects strong confidence that “Million Reasons” will succeed in cracking the Top 10
Tracking for the sales and streaming portions of this coming week’s Hot 100 concluded Thursday; Billboard is still tabulating the numbers, but it expects “Million Reasons” to post over 125,000 in weekly US sales and over 6 million in US streams. The sales figure will likely be enough for #1 on the Digital Song Sales subchart.
Radio tracking ends on Sunday; Billboard is projecting 12 million audience impressions.
Should it indeed reach the Top 10, “Million Reasons” will become the first Gaga song to enter the region since “Applause.”
