The Chainsmokers’ “Closer (featuring Halsey)” continues its reign atop the Billboard Hot 100.
The smash earns a twelfth week atop the all-encompassing Billboard Songs chart. It is the longest-reigning #1 since Wiz Khalifa’s “See You Again (featuring Charlie Puth),” which also ruled for twelve weeks.
The difference? Unlike the twelve-week total reign achieved by “See You Again,” The Chainsmokers’ tune has spent twelve consecutive weeks in the top spot.
“Closer” is only the seventeenth single to spend twelve or more weeks in the #1 position.
While it is beginning to decline in key metrics, “Closer” remains a strong performer for sales, streams, and radio airplay.
