Beyonce Reportedly Performing At The 50th Annual CMA Awards

One of the biggest stars in the world — from any genre — will reportedly perform at the 50th Annual Country Music Association Awards.

Multiple sources say Beyonce has been tapped to perform on tonight’s broadcast. If true, Beyonce will be joining a stacked lineup that consists of some of the country genre’s biggest past and present stars.

Details regarding her planned performance are unclear.

A connection between Beyonce and Nashville made headlines earlier this year, when an intense debate erupted over whether “Daddy Lessons” — a song on her hit album “Lemonade” — should be classified as a “country song.” Many of those watching the HBO “Lemonade” special initially declared it as such, but country music critics later scoffed at the classification.

ABC’s broadcast of the 50th Annual CMA Awards begins at 8PM ET Wednesday night.
