ABC’s broadcast of the 50th CMA Awards will air on Wednesday, November 2.
That night’s edition of “Jimmy Kimmel Live” will predictably have a CMA theme.
Like last year’s CMA-oriented “Kimmel,” the show will be simultaneously broadcast — using hologram technology — from the Country Music Hall of Fame in Nashville and the usual “Jimmy Kimmel Live” studio in Hollywood.
In addition to Jessica Chastain, the episode will welcome country legend Willie Nelson as an interview guest.
Country star Hunter Hayes, who will be in Nashville, will perform via the aforementioned hologram technology. The performance will be similar to that delivered by The Band Perry on last year’s post-CMA special.
The 11/2 “Kimmel” will also feature a special country edition of “Mean Tweets.” Florida Georgia Line, Dan + Shay, Miranda Lambert, Chris Stapleton, Dolly Parton and more will appear in the segment.
