Andra Day’s “Rise Up” has officially earned a certification from the RIAA.

The anthemic single attained gold status on October 12, 2016. The gold certification confirms 500,000 in US digital units.

Each unit is equal to 1 paid download or 150 streams.

“Rise Up” peaked at #1 on the Billboard Bubbling Under Hot 100 chart, but that position arguably understates its ubiquity. Day has performed the song on a handful of major stages, including that of the 2016 Grammy Awards ceremony.
