Disney Channel’s “Elena Of Avalor” and “Girl Meets World” both posted live+same-day viewership gains this week.
Positioned between the two shows, the premiere of “Liv And Maddie: Cali Style” (“Liv And Maddie” season four) drew a bigger overall audience than the season three finale but a smaller one than the third season premiere.
According to live+same-day data posted by Showbuzz, Friday’s “Girl Meets World” drew 1.77 million total viewers in the 8:30PM slot. The number marks an increase from the 1.42 million audience figure garnered last week.
“Girl Meets World” was also up in key young adult (0.29 to 0.40 in A18-49, 0.30 to 0.41 in A18-34) and youth demos.
Airing at 7:30PM, “Elena Of Avalor” drew a live+same-day audience of 1.43 million. The figure bests the 1.14 million audience sum attained by the previous airing.
Like “GMW,” “Elena” was up in numerous young adult (0.23 to 0.29 in A18-49, 0.25 to 0.29 in A18-34) and youth demographic segments.
The 8PM premiere of “Liv And Maddie: Cali Style” attracted 1.66 million live+same-day viewers. While down from the 1.80 million mark posted by the season three premiere, the figure tops the 1.53 million audience figure achieved by the third season finale.
The comparison to the season three finale is mixed when it comes to key demos. “Liv And Maddie” was, for instance, down versus the previous finale in adults 18-49 (0.32 to 0.29) but up in adults 18-34 (0.27 to 0.28).
Of note: the third season premiere and finale both aired on Sundays.
