Update: MTV has revealed the song selections for this year’s Video Music Awards pre-show performers.
Alessia Cara will play a medley of her “Wild Things” and “Scars To Your Beautiful.” Jidenna will perform “Little Bit More,” and Lukas Graham will entertain the audience with “Mama Said.”
The pre-show airs at 8PM ET on August 28.

For MTV’s marketing team, today’s priority seems to be the 2016 Video Music Awards pre-show.
Shortly after confirming DJ Khaled as one of the co-hosts, the network revealed that Alessia Cara, Jidenna and Lukas Graham will perform during the broadcast.
MTV also noted that Lizzo and Charlamagne will join DJ Khaled as co-hosts.
Set to air from 8-9PM ET, the pre-show leads directly into the 2016 VMAs ceremony.
The event takes place this Sunday at Madison Square Garden.
