Prior to Friday’s music video release, Jennifer Lopez’ “Ain’t Your Mama” was distantly removed from the Top 200 of the US iTunes single sales chart.
A day after the video’s premiere, it is inside the Top 50.
“Ain’t Your Mama” is #48 on the US sales chart as of 5:50PM ET on Saturday, May 7. While the position is not indicative of a huge sales pace — a song in that range is only selling about 5,000 copies per day — it still reflects a positive response to the video, which has generated over 3.3 million views since its premiere.
Whether that positive response will be amplified by radio exposure remains to be seen. “Ain’t Your Mama” is re-impacting pop this coming Tuesday.
