Interscope Considering Pop Radio Push for will.i.am & Pia Mia’s “Boys & Girls”

While it has not yet confirmed an official impact, Interscope is definitely considering a formal pop radio push for will.i.am’s new single “Boys & Girls (Pia Mia).”

Launched Thursday, the song appears on the Interscope radio team’s promotional Top 40 playlist. Songs that appear on the playlist are not assured of a push — Pia Mia’s own “Touch” never went for adds despite its inclusion on the playlist — but they are definitely on the radar.

As of 4PM ET Friday, the song’s official music video has registered about 87,000 views on YouTube. It is #163 on the US all-genre iTunes sales chart.

— Interscope’s upcoming radio docket includes Ellie Goulding’s “Army” (impacting 4/19), Selena Gomez’ “Kill Em With Kindness” (5/3), and Bahari’s “Dancing On The Sun” (5/10). X Ambassadors’ “Unsteady” and The 1975’s “The Sound” appear on the playlist but have not received formal impact plans.
