Trent Harmon’s “Drink You Away” Takes Lead on iTunes Sales Chart; Mackenzie Leads Dalton, La’Porsha

Update: The “Idol” hierarchy has shifted since early Friday morning.

As of 12:30PM ET, Trent Harmon’s “Drink You Away” is now the best-selling of Thursday night’s “American Idol” recordings. It is up to #89 on the US iTunes sales chart; Mackenzie Bourg’s “Hallelujah” is #92.

The eliminated Bourg’s song still, however, holds considerable leads over songs by Top 3 finalists Dalton Rapattoni and La’Porsha Renae. The former’s “Dancing In The Dark” is #152, while the latter’s “Stay With Me” is #448.

He may have been eliminated, but Mackenzie Bourg is currently leading the three remaining “American Idol” finalists on the US iTunes sales chart.

Bourg’s “Hallelujah,” which marked his final performance prior to the elimination announcement, is currently #89 on the US chart. The recording narrowly leads that of finalist Trent Harmon, whose “Drink You Away” is #90.

As far as this week’s performances go, Harmon’s “Drink” is the clear leader among those from active contestants. Fellow Top 3 member Dalton Rapattoni is #152 with “Dancing In The Dark,” while La’Porsha Renae is #448 with “Stay With Me.”

The final “American Idol” episodes (of both the season and series) air next week.
