Chris Stapleton’s work on “Traveller” — the title track from his Grammy-nominated album — was just named the best country solo performance this year.

Confirmed in the form of a Grammy, the award was distributed to Stapleton during Monday afternoon’s pre-show.

Stapleton’s acclaimed effort on “Traveller” beat out Cam’s work on “Burning House,” Carrie Underwood’s performance on “Little Toy Guns,” Keith Urban’s performance on “John Cougar, John Deere, John 3:16,” and Lee Ann Womack’s effort on “Chances Are.”
