Update: Last week, ABC confirmed that Chris Stapleton would perform with a “special guest” at the 2015 CMA Awards.
Monday, ABC identified that guest as Justin Timberlake. Stapleton and Timberlake will collaborate during Wednesday night’s ceremony.
Timberlake notably endorsed Stapleton in a Tweet last winter.

Critically acclaimed — and CMA-nominated — singer-songwriter Chris Stapleton has been added to the list of 2015 CMA Awards performers.
And he will not be on-stage alone.
ABC confirms that Stapleton will be joined by a special guest artist. The identity of Stapleton’s duet performer will be revealed on Monday, November 2.
Previously confirmed performers for the November 4 CMA Awards include Jason Aldean, Kelsea Ballerini, Dierks Bentley with Lindsey Stirling, Luke Bryan, Florida Georgia Line, Sam Hunt, Miranda Lambert, Little Big Town, Maddie & Tae, Kacey Musgraves, Brad Paisley, Blake Shelton, Carrie Underwood, Zac Brown Band, Eric Church with Hank Williams, Jr., Reba with Brooks & Dunn, Thomas Rhett with Fall Out Boy, and Keith Urban with John Mellencamp.
