Ed Sheeran Stays #1 at Hot AC, X Ambassadors Now Top 5, R. City & Elle King Enter Top 10

The picture atop the Mediabase hot adult contemporary chart appears as it did last week. And the week before that. And the week before that.

Ed Sheeran’s “Photograph” tops the Hot AC listing for a fourth straight week. This week’s victory comes courtesy the song’s 6,796 tracking week spins (+33).

The Weeknd’s “Can’t Feel My Face” repeats at #2, while Fall Out Boy’s “Uma Thurman” (+1) and Rachel Platten’s “Fight Song” (-1) follow at #3 and #4, respectively.

Rising to a new peak of #5 — and thus making its first appearance in the Top 5 — is X Ambassadors’ alternative radio crossover “Renegades.” The song, which topped the alternative listing for eleven weeks, rises two places to #5 on this week’s Hot AC chart. It received 5,371 plays during the September 13-19 tracking week (+650).

The top ten, meanwhile, welcomes two new arrivals.

R. City’s “Locked Away (featuring Adam Levine)” rises three places to a new peak of #8, while Elle King’s “Ex’s and Oh’s” enjoys a five-place gain to #9.

The former received 4,327 tracking week spins (+841), while the latter enjoyed a weekly total of 3,762 (+438).
