Demi Lovato’s “Confident” Gets October 16 Release Date; “Kimmel” Promo on Monday

Demi Lovato’s forthcoming studio album “Confident” officially has a release date.

The album, which will be Lovato’s fifth studio release, arrives on October 16. Interested fans can currently pre-order the album on the artist’s website; the iTunes pre-order is slated to launch at midnight.

“Confident” contains Lovato’s current single “Cool For the Summer.” Poised to reach the Top 5 on this week’s pop airplay chart, “Cool” holds a Top 20 position on the all-encompassing Billboard Hot 100.

The single–and project–already have ample buzz, and Lovato will attempt to amplify that interest in the coming days. She is slated to perform on the August 30 MTV Video Music Awards and the August 31 edition of “Jimmy Kimmel Live.”

Her “Kimmel” visit includes an outdoor mini-concert on Monday afternoon.

“Confident” is being released and promoted via a joint effort from Hollywood Records, Island Records, and Safehouse Records. Lovato founded the lattermost label with Nick Jonas and manager Phil McIntyre.
