One Direction’s “Drag Me Down” Debuts as Pop Radio’s #38 Song

One Direction’s “Drag Me Down” was only available for two of the seven days in the latest tracking period, but it still garnered enough spins to reach pop radio’s Top 40.

Thanks to hourly opening day support from iHeartMedia and early enthusiasm, “Drag Me Down” amassed 1,520 spins within the official July 26-August 1 tracking week. That total earns the new single the #38 spot on this week’s Mediabase pop radio airplay chart.

“Drag Me Down” is One Direction’s eleventh Top 40 pop entry and first as a foursome.

Other additions to the weekly Top 40 include Little Mix’s “Black Magic” (#36), Calvin Harris + Disciples’ “How Deep is Your Love” (#39) and Alessia Cara’s “Here” (#40).
