It did not debut until the sixth day of the seven day tracking week, but 5 Seconds of Summer’s “She’s Kinda Hot” still earned enough airplay to reach the Top 40 on this week’s Mediabase pop radio chart.
“She’s Kinda Hot,” which first emerged on July 17, received 1,437 pop plays during the July 12-18 tracking week. That tally earns “She’s Kinda Hot” the #39 spot on this week’s official Mediabase pop airplay chart.
A significant chunk of the song’s spin count is attributable to an opening day iHeartMedia promotion. Courtesy that promotion, “She’s Kinda Hot” received hourly first day airplay from iHeartMedia’s network of pop stations.
“She’s Kinda Hot” is one of two additions to the weekly Top 40. R. City’s “Locked Away (featuring Adam Levine),” the other, rises eight places to #40 this week. It received 1,385 weekly spins (+696).
— While not new to the Top 40, Jidenna’s “Classic Man” re-enters this week. Spun 1,719 times during the tracking week (+249), “Classic Man” rises five places to #36.
