Sawyer Fredericks’ “Please,” “Old Man” Debut on Hot 100

While not as hot as the finale singles released by season seven runner-up Matt McAndrew and winner Craig Wayne Boyd, Sawyer Fredericks’ “Please” gets off to a respectable start on the Billboard Hot 100.

Original single “Please,” which effectively serves as the season eight winner’s “coronation single,” opens at #37 on the listing.

Last season, McAndrew’s “Wasted Love” and Boyd’s “My Baby’s Got a Smile On Her Face” debuted at #14 and #34, respectively.

In conjunction with its Hot 100 debut, Fredericks’ “Please” starts at #6 on the Digital Songs subchart.

Fredericks also appears on the Hot 100 courtesy his cover of “Old Man.” The song, which opens at #63 on the Hot 100, ranks at #17 on Digital Songs.

Other “The Voice” activity:

— Runner-up Meghan Linsey’s original single “Change My Mind” claims #92 on the Hot 100 and #26 on Digital Songs.

— Third place contestant Joshua Davis’ original single “The Workingman’s Hymn” lands at #47 on Digital Songs and #22 on the Bubbling Under Hot 100 chart.
