The fourth single from Taylor Swift’s “1989” is officially the third to top the Billboard Hot 100.
After re-entering the Hot 100 at #53 last week, “Bad Blood” rockets to the top spot this week. Significant gains in sales, streaming and airplay all deserve credit for the ascent.
Inclusive of the Kendrick Lamar remix, “Bad Blood” also claims #1 on Digital Songs (385,000 US sales), #3 on Streaming Songs (18.1 million US streams) and #15 on Radio Songs (57 million US audience impressions).
The ascension of “Bad Blood” comes at the expense of Wiz Khalifa’s “See You Again (featuring Charlie Puth).” That song, which reigned over the Hot 100 for six straight weeks, slips to #2 this week.
“Bad Blood” is Swift’s third #1 from “1989” and fourth chart-topper overall. Swift previously reached the chart’s peak with “Blank Space,” “Shake it Off” and “We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together.”
