Ratings: “Last Man on Earth” Improves at 9PM, Loses Viewers at 9:30

The good news? Despite receiving slightly weaker lead-in support, this week’s hour-long edition of “The Last Man on Earth” scored a better average rating than last week’s half-hour episode.

The bad news? The FOX comedy lost viewers in its second half hour.

Per Nielsen fast national data, the 9PM “Last Man on Earth” episode drew a 1.9 adults 18-49 rating with 4.53 million viewers. The second episode, which aired in the 9:30 slot, slipped to a 1.6 with 4.14 million total viewers.

Last week’s episode, which aired out of an original “Family Guy” (1.7, 3.45 million at 9PM) rather than a re-run (1.4, 3.41 million at 8:30PM), drew a 1.6 with 3.76 million viewers from 9:30-10PM.

— FOX’s only other Sunday original was “Bob’s Burgers.” The episode, which aired at 7:30PM, drew a 1.0 rating with 2.17 million viewers.
