Florence + The Machine’s “What Kind of Man” Repeats as Alt’s Most Added Song

After erupting with 34 adds last week, “What Kind of Man” remains atop Mediabase’s alternative add board courtesy the 19 monitored station pickups it received this week.

The latest round of support should help the song continue soaring up the airplay chart. As of press time, “What Kind of Man” was already the alternative format’s 16th-most played song.

Passion Pit’s “Lifted Up (1985)” claims this week’s second-most added position with 12 monitored adds. While it is not exploding in the manner of “What Kind of Man,” the song is receiving solid early support from the format. It is already alternative radio’s 35th-most played song.

Other popular options for alternative programmers included Alabama Shakes’ “Don’t Wanna Fight (8 adds, 3rd-most added), Foo Fighters’ “Congregation” (8 adds, 3rd-most added) and Nate Ruess’ “Nothing Without Love” (7 adds, 5th-most added).
