5 Seconds of Summer’s “What I Like About You” is One of Pop’s 40 Most-Played

For the third time in its short career, 5 Seconds of Summer claims a position in pop radio’s rolling top 40.

According to Mediabase, the band’s cover of “What I Like About You” ranked as pop’s #39 song during the week between December 22 and 28. While its position will not be rendered official until Mediabase’s next weekly, published chart, it is a statement of fact for the time being

“What I Like About You” commanded 1,210 spins during the aforementioned seven day window. It leveraged that count to rise above Ariana Grande’s declining “Santa Tell Me” and Chris Brown’s slipping “New Flame.”

The song serves as the lead single for 5 Seconds of Summer’s “LIVESOS” album.

5SOS previously reached the top 40 courtesy official pop singles “She Looks So Perfect” and “Amnesia.”
