Better luck next season, Pharrell.
Tuesday’s “The Voice” results show, which ended the journey for three contestants, also potentially did so for coach Pharrell Williams. Luke Wade and DaNica Shirey, his remaining competitors, were both eliminated from the music competition series.
Pharrell is the only coach without a dog in the semifinals fight. His hope of survival now rests on the possibility that one of his finalists–Wade, Shirey or Sugar Joans–will be voted into the finals as part of the show’s new wildcard opportunity.
Adam Levine, meanwhile, has three representatives in the semifinals mix. His Matt McAndrew and Damien were pushed through by the public’s vote this week, while Chris Jamison received the night’s sole “Instant Save.”
After two weeks of receiving the save, Team Gwen member Ryan Sill, like the aforementioned Wade and Shirey, came up short in his quest for the save this week.
The five semifinalists will take the stage next week. In addition to Team Adam’s McAndrew, Damien and Jamison, Monday’s show will also feature Team Blake’s Craig Wayne Boyd and Team Gwen’s Taylor John Williams.
