A bike accident left Bono unable to perform, which means U2’s week-long “Tonight Show” residency has been postponed.
The iconic NBC talk show thus needs to make last minute additions to its next five telecasts, and it begins the endeavor with help from Jim Carrey.
Carrey, whose “Dumb and Dumber To” opened atop the weekend box office, makes an unadvertised appearance on Monday’s “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.”
Carrey’s visit rounds out an episode that contains advertised appearances from Allison Williams and Benedict Cumberbatch. In addition to an interview with host Jimmy Fallon, Williams also participates in a sketch inspired by NBC’s upcoming “Peter Pan Live.” The “Girls” actress will appear as the title character in NBC’s upcoming “Peter Pan” staging.
