Eden xo’s “Too Cool to Dance,” Vance Joy’s “Riptide” Go Top 40 at Pop

Several buzzworthy songs entered Mediabase’s official pop radio top forty this week.

In addition to Mark Ronson’s “Uptown Funk (featuring Bruno Mars),” which launches at #28 on the strength of a monstrous first week (2,465 spins), the top forty also welcomes Eden xo’s “Too Cool to Dance,” Milky Chance’s “Stolen Dance” and Vance Joy’s “Riptide.”

The Eden xo track, which has gained impressive early traction, rises nine spots to #36 this week. It was spun 1,103 times during the November 9-15 tracking week.

Milky Chance’s “Stolen Dance” hops four places to #38 on the strength of 1,070 weekly spins, while Vance Joy’s fellow alternative chart-topper “Riptide” reaches #40. Up three spots from last week’s position, “Riptide” received 1,007 weekly spins.

While Bea Miller’s “Young Blood” reached the mid-week top 40 and seemed poised to make that position official this week, it failed to register that position on Sunday’s official chart. The song’s spin count slipped due to a weak Saturday, and it thus holds at the #41 position courtesy 995 weekly spins.
